What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Veneers are made from thin, durable shells of tooth-colored porcelain. They are custom-created in a professional dental laboratory to match the ideal shape and color of your natural teeth. Veneers are bonded over the front of your teeth to improve your smile and strengthen weakened teeth. In some cases, we can also correct mild misalignment with veneer treatments.

What Are the Benefits of Veneers?

At Chagrin Highlands Dental Group, we use porcelain veneers to treat a variety of cosmetic and general dental problems.

Veneers address issues such as:

  • Gaps between teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Misaligned teeth
  • Severe stains
  • Chips and cracks
  • Excessive wear
  • Weak teeth

Because veneers are so natural-looking, they are a popular choice among patients seeking cosmetic treatments. With this approach, we can improve your bite, brighten your smile, and give your teeth a uniform, vibrant look!

What Is the Procedure Like?

Because veneers are so natural-looking, they are a popular choice among patients seeking cosmetic treatments. With this approach, we can improve your bite, brighten your smile, and give your teeth a uniform, vibrant look!

Once your veneer is ready, it will be time for your second visit. Porcelain veneers are designed to blend into your smile as naturally as possible. To achieve this effect, Dr. Desatnik will remove a thin layer of enamel from your tooth before applying the veneer. Although this usually involves very little discomfort, we are happy to offer sedation options for those uncomfortable with the procedure.

How Do I Learn More?

Porcelain veneers are an excellent treatment option for patients of nearly any age. Before moving forward with treatment, Dr. Desatnik will conduct a consultation and will examine your teeth and gums to determine if veneers are the best treatment for you.
